The Biltmore Estate is a renowned Christmas destination, and our most popular tour returns with even more to enjoy. See the magnificent mansion all decked out for the holidays, tour the stunning grounds and gardens, and visit the winery. You’ll also enjoy a guided drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway, with stops at the Folk-Art Center, St. Lawrence Basilica, the North Carolina Farmers Market with crafts, and Christmas Store. We typically visit the CHapel at Billy Graham Conference Center at The Cove. Located on 1,200 acres about five miles from downtown Asheville and nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, The Cove hosts many events, conferences, and seminars for groups.
One of the crowning highlights of our tours is the Food Network’s Gingerbread House Competition. It’s simply magical! For a sweet treat, see the amazing creations at the annual National Gingerbread House Competition™ at The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville. The 30th annual event will bring back the in-person event that makes this experience so special to competitors, Gingerbread enthusiasts, and the historic hotel. The competition’s legacy is built on design, innovation, and tradition that continues for future generations. Except for the base, the entries are constructed entirely of edible materials.
A lavish festive dinner and many more unique holiday surprises await you on this unforgettable tour.
We customize these tours to include Food, Wine, and Beer experiences, as well as Chocolate tastings. Asheville has a rich Mountain culture rooted in music and art, and we create experiences to include these elements.

More than 100 hand-decorated Christmas trees adorn the home and the estate, the centerpiece being a 35-foot Fraser fir. The 35-foot tree is brought by Santa on horse-drawn carriage and lifted into place in the grand Banquet Hall during the annual tree raising. The more than 25,000 ornaments and 100,000 holiday lights twinkling throughout the Estate provide a magical ambiance. And, the 1,960 live poinsettias and 1,000 feet of fresh evergreen garland give the estate an aroma that completes this feast for the senses. The Christmas at Biltmore celebration is spread across the estate with everything from holiday blooms in the gardens to an illumination display at Antler Hill Village to commemorative Christmas wine at the Winery.
Each year, Christmas at Biltmore has a different theme and different color scheme, ensuring that every holiday season at Biltmore is unique.
